Sylvia is a trained nurse and midwife with a strong Sales & Marketing background having run her own Health Food business for several years before joining the Pharmaceutical Industry where she gained valuable experience in selling, presentation skills and training.
During a spell in the Motivation Industry, Sylvia regularly presented and sold to CEOs and senior company directors.
She has recently taken on the role of Regional Director of The Athena Network and is responsible for starting up and running business networking groups for women. These groups aim to develop, support and inspire women to greater success. Sylvia currently runs four Women’s Business Networking groups in Bucks and due to incredible demand, is launching 2 new groups in October in Maidenhead and Thame.
Why did you agree to do the Corporate Eight’s Challenge?
Delighted to be able to raise money for this excellent cause Athena groups are all about supporting women through change as they start and grow their businesses, it is great to be able to help women to find their way after the trauma of domestic violence. Love the challenge of trying a new sport and competing with other teams. Really enjoy working with a group of dynamic and multitalented women. Will learn a lot about my own strengths and weaknesses. Great way to get fit.
